Cranmore has earned a reputation across the state for running excellent races with well-maintained courses and knowledgeable staff.  Safety, organization, conditions of the hill, quality of snow, along with knowledge and understanding of USSA guidelines, are key elements for a good race. You must be outgoing, dependable, and energetic with a passion for ski racing and a desire to share your passion. Team dynamics, the initiative to make it happen, and the attitude and ability to jump in wherever needed are key values for our team.  Good communication and guest service skills are essential to employment at Cranmore. Work not only with students, but with all guests and other employees, fulfilling the guest service model, both on and off the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb or balance, and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Alpine race coach and race hill setup are physically demanding. We strongly encourage all candidates to be in good physical condition, both strong and flexible. Strong skiing skills in all conditions, and able to carry and transport B-Fencing and gates around the mountain. You will be required to pass a knee test.
